EVANSVILLE - The members of the USI Rugby Club met last night and decided on the future of the club by voting in a new team of executive officers. This group of men will be leading the club into the 2013-2014 year at the University of Southern Indiana.
The team has enjoyed continued success through the Fall 2012 - Spring 2013 seasons besting D1 schools such as the University of Kentucky and Michigan State University while maintaining an undefeated winning streak including the 2012 Indiana State Championship game in October 2012. The only loss in the past year was to the University of Wisconsin Parkside during the semi-regional championship game in November 2012.
Administration and students have been attending home matches in record numbers. Fraternities and sororities have been helping with recruitment, specifically KA, Sigma Tau Gamma, and Gamma Phi Beta. The Office of the Provost, the Dean of Students Office and the SGA have all supported the team through various fundraising and overall support. We can't thank you all enough!
